MILESTONES
A milestone appeared when the morning sun,
Arose upon the twenty-third of June,
Because my grandson Henry became one,
One year has passed, already, seems so soon,
But Henry’s standing now, he soon will run,
But now he’s just one, so my grandson will
First walk with careful steps and with caution
Till he learns balance, control, to be still,
Which we all tried to learn, as we grew up,
As children and grandchildren, he will too
If he’s as lucky as I am, my cup
Is full, as Henry’s first year has passed through
The space-time of my seventieth year.
Tis’ then another milestone will appear.
