80th B-day: Announcement
The following email announcement was sent to classmates on Jan. 13, 2026.

To all ETHS Class of 1964 Classmates:
News Alert: Start planning to attend our September Gala ETHS Class of 1964 80th Birthday Party
Current plans are to host the reunion event at ETHS on a Saturday in September 2026, most likely either September 19 or 26. If attending in person, Pat Furlong, our lunch event host, is arranging for a tour of ETHS followed by lunch at the school. After lunch, will be the Premier ETHS - Then and Now film showing. Join us in person or watch it virtually in our private e-meeting. Sort of a nation-wide live event!
At our party, ETHS - Then and Now will walk with us down memory lane as we travel through the early 1960’s school and compare it to the present-day ETHS, which today is the largest high school under one roof in the US! Our creators are using yearbook pictures, current school pictures and some virtual reality to have us jump back in time. Our Memories film will be narrated primarily by Helga Zirkel (Schwarten), our Homecoming Queen. Following the Birthday Party, this film will be available on the members only section of the ETHS 1964 Website.
Your Actions in Response to this News Alert:
- Keep your ETHS 1964 Website profile up to date.
- A new forum for this “Then and Now” event has been created in the Discussion Forum section of the website: https://www.eths1964.com/class_forums_admin_forums_edit.cfm?forum_id=36384.
- A new "80th Birthday" page is being created on the left side of our website homepage.
The 64 Reunion Continuity Committee is composed of 1964 Classmates that meet virtually on the second Friday of each month at 12:00 Central time to keep the spirit alive and share info on mini reunions. Any classmate may join. Just let Carolyn Wyld Saul (carolynsaul@hotmail.com) know your interest in joining these meetings and she will get back with you with the invite to join. No cost, no obligation.
Happy Trails until we meet again,
64 Reunion Continuity Committee
