School Story

I wanted desparately to be an IHSA State Champion. That dream did not happen for me. I was the 1964 IHSA State Runner-Up in Wrestling, and I was on the ETHS Football Team that was voted #2 in the 1963 Illinos State Football Poll.

My athletic consolation was that I was awarded a Big Ten Football Scholarship to Northwestern University in 1964. Solid academics in the Evanston Public School System and at ETHS prepared me well to be able to earn a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from U.C.L.A.

I agree, Susan -- this is a wonderful tribute. Obituaries often exaggerate -- this one rings true, and the family's contributions fill out the picture.

Roger here we are some 7 or 8 years later since you have been on the website and your birthday is today. Happy 75 birthday! You were always a year younger!!!!
Tell our classmates about your book. What vitamin we should be taking each day. You have Jack and Lincoln wanting to stay healthy. Your classmates want to know what should we be taking ? One of our classmates told me he had 80 doctor’s appointment‘a last year. Getting older is not easy. I spoke to Jack after his workout the other morning so I know many of us do daily walks, workout and take some medicine to keep it going. ! Need your help for a donation. Both Jack and Lincoln have donated. Take some time to give back as your classmates have done. Your brother Guy has always given backs for Donations ! He won State Wrestling Championship and runners up as well!!
