I don't know where I was or why I don't recall seeing these comments about Ed Boesel. Truth be told, I'm not sure why I saw them now. Like several of the commentators, I knew Ed only in passing and remembered mostly the behind-his-back mocking he was subjected to. I recall him as an awkward, goofy kid, which means, of course, that's what I thought of him until today - that is, I pictured, or would have pictured, an awkward, goofy, almost-octogenarian rather than the highy accomplished prfessional he was (although I did admire the tie he sported in his profile picture). Thanks to you who wrote about him, and especially thanks to Fred for facilitating these.
I'm sorry to learn of Ron's passing. He had a rich and rewarding career and used it to make life a bit happier for many people.

Eaglemas - what a great word. I Googled it, and it turns out to be a thing, although not a
Preston ktind of thing -- just a word with an Iggle's nestful of uses.
I agree, Susan -- this is a wonderful tribute. Obituaries often exaggerate -- this one rings true, and the family's contributions fill out the picture.
Robert, I'm not sure how I missed it the first time around, but I just came across "Whispers of War." Powerful, elegant and, as Linc said, so timely. Also educational -- I confess that Mesnée d'Hellequin sent me to Google. Thank you.
Like everyone, very sorry to hear of his passing. A good, cheerful, and talented guy
Lesley -- don't think we met 60 years ago, but good luck with your film. I hope you'll put it online sometime soon.
Happy birthday, Vic -- many happy returns and best to Marilee!
