Preston, is there a catalog for your show? I would love to know more about it and how it came to be, and especially to see some of your pieces. They sound fascinating. Here in the Northwest I see bald eagles pretty regularly, but have a great fondness for golden eagles, having spent 38 years in the Rocky Mountain West. I applaud your avocation.
You certainly did a fine thing getting this site up and running. It has certainly been successful and I thank you for all your efforts. Did you ever work on it through lunch?
Dear Terry, I have time to write as my husband, of 44 years, has taken our puppy, of 15 weeks, out to frolic. We live in the land of rescue, recycle, reuse--namely Washington State--and it has not been easy to share with others why we bought a puppy. But I don't care, because he is the best of puppies, a (Vashon Island) golden doodle, who should live longer than our previous, larger, dogs, and frankly, take us out.
Dear Helga, I had no idea you didn't speak English before entering ETHS. I am so looking forward to seeing you this weekend. Dwight returns from his 200 mile ride from Logan, UT to Jackson, WY, Wednesday, and then we will leave early Friday for the Reunion. I am working on a dog-sitter for the new puppy I purchased, a golden-doodle-while Dwight was away! I may just have to sneak him onboard.
Dear Bonnie, You have no idea how disappointed my husband, of 44 years, will be that you are not attending in person. He is the e-mail opener at our house. I walk up the street to get the snail-mail. He loves cars and lucious women, but hasn't yet seen Fred's bike! I hope you got my earlier e-mail, as I am very poor at this type of communication. (I must admit, I just purchased a puppy, which is totally frowned upon in this State (WA) of rescue, re-use, etc., but have to admit I have more needs and am forced to look at puppies. I am discovering I am a bit too old for all those awakenings in the night to put the puppy out, but my sweet goldendoodle has been worth it so far.
My husband, Dwight, served as a Conscientous Objector for the first two years of our marriage, 1970-72. His father was a WWII veteran with a purple heart, who supported Dwight's decision. He, Dwight's dad, died 8/3/2014, and in the moving celebration that followed--250 in Grafton, Mass., no mention was made that of all the sons and grand-sons, Dwight was the only one to serve his country. A draft is not such a bad idea; it puts all Americans in touch with what it means to support your country.
