Navy - 1964-1968, three tours Viet Nam. Living in Maryland. Married to Cindy since 1974. Three grandchildren (all boys). Avid golfer. A huge fan on Chicago sports teams, especially the BEARS. Enjoy seeing news of my fellow classmates and all their successes.

School Story

Many fond memories of ETHS, though I have never been back. Surprised at how many of my fellow football teammates have passed on. Very proud of my school and all of the accomplishments over the years. Memories include riding my bike to school as a freshman and parking it in the basement (down the ramp). Dances in the basement of the YMCA. The special atmosphere in town on Saturday mornings before a football game. Selling elevator tickets to incoming freshman :). Being in DECA and working at Wiebolts Dept. store, especially working the Beatles display in the main isle and having to wear Beetle wigs. Amazing the stuff you remember.

Supposedly I am a distant relative of Oliver Hazard Perry. I have a replica of the Niagara in my mantle. No proof but it was passed down through the years and I always accepted it as true.

My brother and I (Tobey Fisher '65) traveled to Chicago on Dec 3rd to go to the Blackhawks game and the Bears game. We stopped in Evanston to see the old home place, Skiles, downtown Evanston, and ETHS. The layout of the school has really changed since our days and there was a ton of security. We were surprised to be able to walk past all of it and went to the fireplace outside the presidents office for a selfie and back out without once being stopped by security. Anyway we had a blast while in town.
