So sorry to hear of the passing of Garry Willis.  His life was too short from my perspective and my thoughts go out to his family and friends.

While our class has led illustrious lives it is probable that Garry's work was seen by far more people.  As a videographer and broadcaster in the LA area he covered every breaking event for over 20 years after serving as a cameraman in traffic helicopters and planes. He and his wife Claudia covered the San Francisco earthquake as a freelance team while living in an older Cadillac.  They also provided videos to news feeds around the world.  After retirment and in need of a steadier income Garry was a TSA inspetor/Supervisor at LAX and anyone who passed thru around 10 years ago probably would not have made the connection.  The downside was that Garry never appeared on camera unless another videographer accidently included him.  Even his Mother never saw him on TV.

Although I did not know Garry directly, I mourn for everyone of our classmates who passes prematurely. Garry led a very interesting life and the tributes from the classmates who knew him are a delight to read. What an amazing group we were! Garry, rest in peace and our prayers are with your family.

I don't have any memory of Garry, but I am always saddened by the passing of another classmate   Thank you Bob for providing us with a glimpse into Garry's very full life.  I realize we have reached that age.  Between my wife and I we have buried 2 mothers, a brother, a sister, a sister-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law in our 47 years of marriage.   Both of our fathers had passed before we met.
