In Memory

Barbara Weller

Barbara Weller

Sherrie Igoe Dembrowski provided the following information about our classmate, Barbara Weller:

It is with tears and a heavy heart that I announce the tragic death of our classmate Barbara E. Weller here in Denver.  Barb died suddenly on September 2, 2021, when the car she was driving was hit by a drunk driver.  Her beloved daughter, Tracy, who was in the car with her at the time of the accident, survived.

Barbara's twin sister Frances died some years ago.

Barbara was a kind, successful and elegant lady, very active in fundraising for the Max Fund (animal shelter), volunteered for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Denver, as well as being a realtor.

Services will be held some time this summer.

What a tragic listing!  In this year of so many losses, this one was so unnecessary.  I remember Barb -- and Fran, too, -- from junior high as well as ETHS.  Lively, warm, delightful.  Though I lost track of them both after graduation, this loss still weighs heavily.

This saddens me also.  Barbara and Fran were friends of mine as well.  I lost track of Barbara after college, but I have fond memories of her.  So sad to hear of her unnecessary loss.

Sad to hear about Barbara's tragic death. We were next door neighbors during high school and I last saw her about 6 years ago when I was in Denver.

Regretfully, I did not Know Barb but I mourn her passing as I am sure from what others have written , she was a wonderful individual. This has been a terrible year for losing our classmates. Certainly hope no more occur for a while, we all would like to enjoy a little more of our retirement years which are now very precious.

Everyone be well and be safe,

Lincoln
