Carol was a sweetheart of a woman. We were on the Girls Club Board together. She was 100% kindness only. I was so saddened to learn of her passing a few years back. What a loss.

Gale, you described her perfectly...she was always so sweet and kind and soft-spoken.  I'm surprised there aren't more comments here.

Carol was a good friend.  She was so strong during her illness and left us too soon.

I kept up with Carol until she passed away awhile ago. She was always cheerful and a happy person. Loved her family.  I do miss her.

Carol was a sweetheart. She always had a kind word for everyone and always was easy-going& had a big smile on her face. Someone I always will remember- a true friend and a person that enjoyed life each and every day.

Carol and I have been friends since grade school at St. Mary's.  The nuns loved her as she was so smart.

Our friendship continued through high school and beyond.  Carol, Gerri and I had many a laugh together.

I don't think Carol ever met a stranger.  She was so talented in many ways.  The stained glass she created was beautiful.

Carol was so brave during her first battle with cancer when her son Bobby was so young.   Some time after the doctors gave her the 'all clear' she married her second husband, Drew.  They had two sons.  Sadly, around 1994 the cancer returned.  She fought a brave battle to the end.

One of the last times we talked, I said how I couldn't believe we were going to be 50 soon!  She answered, she just wished that she would make it to 50 - sadly she didn't.

I dearly remember Carol too from St. Mary's.  I am so very sad to hear of her illness and passing, thank you Molly for your info.

I have many treasured memories meeting up with Carol and Beth Maloney on Ashland Ave, then heading up Greenwood to meet up with Sheila Gerrity and Tricia Hayes through town finally arriving at Greenwood Beach.  We did this all summer -it would take us awhile walking but chatting and laughing all the way - great fun!!

Carol, Joanne Brewster and I were the 'May Queen' trio at St. Mary's when in 8th grade.  I've still got photos from then - oh my!

Carol will always be remembered, so sweet & caring & truly brilliant!  I'll miss her.

Thanks for sharing the story about Carol Molly. I knew you but I did not know Carol. But your story about her wanting to make 50 and not making it brought me to tears. Such a shame to lose Carol and so many others so early. The rest of us are truly blessed.
