If my memory serves me correctly, Judy's mother was a teacher at Oakton Elementary School. I believe she taught either 1st or 2nd grade. Some of our classmates may have had her mother for a teacher.
Judy was my best friend in high school. I often visited her home and became close with her parents. I helped her decorate the huge live tree her parents always had at Christmas. But I didn't move with my parents to Evanston until I attended Oakton School in the third grade, so I never had the privilege of having her mom as a teacher. Mrs. Beggs was my 3rd grade teacher. She was a character! I lost contact with Judy after high school and regret not keeping up with her!
Her mother was, indeed, a 1st grade teacher at oakton. And she was a good one. Judy and I were good friends as children but lost touch when we graduated.
