In Memory

Jean Landberg (Riordan)

Jean Landberg (Riordan)

Our classmate, Gale (Glassner) Twersky, posted the following comments about the passing of our classmate, Jean (Landberg) Riordan:

It is with great sorrow that one of my dearest friends, who I have known for 67 years, Jean Landberg Riordan, passed August 28, 23. Her husband, Al Riordan, passed several months before her. They lived in Boulder,CO area.. Jean did not have a service according to her will. Jean was active in helping people with special speechneeds, had a PhD in that field. Additionally, she had many talents as an artist and had a big heart about helping others. She endured several years with a health issue that caused her passing. I already miss her terribly but am grateful to have had her as one of my closest friends for many years!

A group of us in Colorado, including Jean, have been getting together occasionally for quite a few years.   Jean was always there.  A few years ago, we had a potluck lunch at Jean's house in Lafayette, Colorado.  She was so gracious at her lovely home with a fabulous garden and beautiful view of the Colorado mountains.  We knew that her husband had died earlier this year and that she was planning to sell her home and move to an assisted living facility.  I am truly saddened to get this news.

She sounds like a wonderful person, though

I don't remember her.  That was a lovely and

heartfelt remembrance, Gail!

Jean and I attended Willard School.  I remember her well, but like so many of our classmates, we lost touch. I noticed that her husbband passed away and that she had no children.  So I will express my condolences to our Willard classmates, the people who have known her since childhood. Rest in Peace Jeanie.

Thank you, Gale, for posting the information about Jeanie's passing. I immediately remembered slumber parties!  She was funny, and I liked being around her.

I was saddened to hear about Jeannie's passing.  We were friends in high school.  I remember her mother fixing dinner for us a few times.  Jeannie had a salad issue and her mother made a salad of frozen peas and carrots in a mayonaise dressing- not particularly heart healthy but good.  She was also a friend of Leo Schlossbrug who introduced her to the new LPs of an unknown sensation Barbra Streisand and then Jeannie introduced them to me.  Her memory is a blessing.
