I don't think too many people knew Mark. He came to ETHS, I think it was in his junior year and he attended my church( First United Methodist Church). We had a very active youth group MYF and we had a gathering at one of the houses of the parents of one of the classmates, right on Long Field on Orrington, near the old Patten Gym at NU. Mark was flirting with my girlfriend at the time Sue Long and it seemed to me that she was kind of encouraging him, or at least not discouraging him. So I got together with my singing group buddies, Mike Simpson, Mike and Tim Taggart and wanted to sing (Dion's?) "Run Around Sue" But they wouldn't let me.
Another time we happened to meet at a movie theater("How the West Was Won"), Mark was introducing me to his date and as I shook her had, Mark said:"You're not supposed to shake hands with a girl". Well, how did I miss that one?...My, how times have changed.
Does anyone know what Mark did after graduation?....RIP, bro.
