ETHS Class of 1964 60th Reunion

September 13-14, 2024

Has it been 60 years already?  Our 60^th Reunion Chair Don (Donut) Hall: donbhall@aol.com  and his steering committee of over 20 classmates have created two events that will wrap around the ETHS 100 year Centennial Show that is set for the afternoon of Sept 14, 2024. 

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 – Event #1, arranged by the Class of ’64 60^th Reunion Committee

6:00 – 11:00 p.m.  “Meet & Greet” at the Holiday Inn, Chicago North, Evanston, 1501 Sherman at Lake, Evanston, IL.  (847-491-6400)

Join your ETHS classmates and their guests at this casual reception. There will be a selection of hors d’oeuvres and small bites to eat and there will be plenty of seating. Enjoy background music from the 60’s as our hosts Bob Reese and Mark Goodman MC this event. Everyone is urged to attend. Reconnect with people from your ETHS hall (East, West, North, South) and your Jr High.  Business casual attire. $35 per person (excluding drinks).  Payment shall be made by credit card…via the class website. There will be a cash bar for soft and hard drinks. Parking is on the street or next door in the city parking structure ($10).

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 - Event #2, arranged by the ETHS Centennial Committee           

1 p.m. ­(Gates open) – 4 p.m.    ETHS 100 year Centennial Celebration, at Lazier Field (football stadium, across from ETHS on Church Street, Evanston.

The ETHS Centennial Committee is providing us with our own ’64 Class tent! Follow the signs to find us among all the classes from the last 100 years. Hear and see the ETHS Marching Band and other entertainment.   Multiple food trucks will offer a wide choice in food options.  Spouses, partners, and dates are welcome. Casual attire. Parking will be in the ETHS west parking lots. The parking lot closest to the field is reserved for cars with disabled stickers.  No cost for this once in a lifetime event. We ask that you sign up so we can get the right tent size! The Class of ’64 tent is hosted by Helga Schwarten and Susan Pastin.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 - Event #3, arranged by the Class of ’64, 60^th Reunion Committee

6:00 p.m. - ?          Celebration Dinner at Hackney’s on Lake, 1514 East Lake Avenue, Glenview (847-724-7171)

Finish the reunion weekend with an enjoyable dinner at Hackney’s (on Lake, not Harms Rd). Our hosts are Classmates Eric Barinholtz and Ted Lavine. They have a lot of surprises for you. You can select the 60’s special meal or eat off the menu with some choices like the Famous Hackneyburger, Broiled Breast of Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Caesar Salad, or Reuben Sandwich. Classmates and guests are welcome. Casual attire. Hackney’s will provide you with a bill for your own meals and drinks. We ask that you sign up so we can get the right room size!
