Scrolling through the "in memory" section on our totally fabulous class of '64 website - thanks to all who make it happen! - I came across Bob Weinmann who died way too early (1967). He was the drummer in our 8th grade band at St. Mary's school known as "fingers" Weinmann, along with Jim (lips) North (class of '64), Jeff (strings) Ferro ('64) and me Phil (knuckles) Noble. Every once in a while a photo pops up in my computer (love the random button) from our 8th grade party where we played "I was a Big Man Yesterday But Boy You Ought To See Me Now", Ally Oop, and Tequila! Hope I can find a way to attach it to this post. he was a lot of fun and we always had a great time together. I left the Chicago area for Spain in '69 without ever know he had passed. Hope this gives anyone else who knew him the incentive to add a little bit about him in these pages.

From left to right:  Phil Noble on piano, Jeff Ferro on guitar, Bob Weinmann on bongos, Jim North on blues harp.

Photo of the 'band' at St. Mary's.  WOW.  Grade school at St. Mary's was great until you got on the wrong side of one of the nuns.  Of course all of these kids were your friends as you grew up - 8 years with them.  A simpler time.  I remember Bob as a really nice guy and very cute - talking like  a grade school girl.  I think he was short like me.  Phil and Emil were the tall guys.

Thanks for sharing.
