I had a couple classes with Webster and I remember him as a nice guy that liked to kick his legs in a swim exercise when waiting for class to start. Funny the thing you remember about people all these years later. Sorry he isn't around to have a chance to come to the reunion, if he wanted.
Webster (Web, as I always knew him) was always kidding around and had the friendliest smile. I remember him marrying a twin from ETHS who was younger than us. Web was always a good guy and I remember him fondly.
Web, was one of my best friends(have to be careful about saying , best).
I'll never forget the time we played golf together and it was probably the best time I ever had playing golf. We "cheated" a lot not counting all our strokes. ( I guess we had something in common with former Pres. Clinton, as I hear that's the way he plays). But who cares when 2 friends are having a good time.
During our high school years Webster and I shared the same bus stop in the mornings. I always looked forward to seeing his wonderful smile and chatting with him.....he was a real sweetheart and brightened most any day. Many years later our daughters met at summer camp in Wisconsin and became good friends. It took us a while to figure out the connection, but how fun once we did. Webster's wife Vi (Viola) and I also became friends and stayed in touch for years. Funnny how life works.
