Mark you were a good friend. I'm sorry you didn't get to see your daughter and son to grow to adulthood. You gave them a wonderful base to grow from. You will be missed.
I'm really stunned and saddened to learn of Mark's passing. He and I were very good friends in 8th grade. We both had a terrible crush on Diane Craane, one of the music teachers at Nichols, and she persuaded Mark, Bob Ward, and me to form a Kingston Trio-type folk trio, accompanied by a ukelele rather than a guitar. For our debut at an assembly for graduating 8th graders we sang a song that included a reference to drinking beer, which we thought was very risque. Mrs. Craane may well have taken some flak for that, but we didn't. Mark and I drifted apart when we went to ETHS, but I certainly remember the many, many good times that we shared, and I was looking forward to catching up with him next month.
