CALENDAR OF EVENTS

 

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

12:15 p.m.                  Hackney’s on Lake

                                    1514 East Lake Avenue, Glenview (847-724-7171)

Kick off the Reunion Weekend with lunch at Hackney’s (on Lake, not Harms Rd.). This was well attended at our 50^th, and we encourage all of you to join us in “breaking the ice.” Supt. Eric Witherspoon will be there to tell us what’s happening at ETHS! You will have a choice of the Famous Hackneyburger, a Broiled Breast of Chicken Sandwich, a Chicken Caesar Salad, or a Reuben Sandwich. Gluten-free, fish, and vegetarian options are also available. Price includes non-alcoholic beverages and Hackney’s French-Fried Onions. Spouses, partners, and dates are welcome. Casual attire.                                     

6:00 – 11:00 p.m.       “Meet & Greet” at the Hilton Garden Inn

       1818 Maple Avenue, Evanston (847-475-6400)

Everyone is invited to gather and reconnect with former classmates at a casual reception. There will be a Cash Bar as well as hors d’oeuvres and small bites. We urge everyone to attend. Classmates are complimentary (no entry fee) if they make their reservation by August 31; spouses, partners, and dates pay a fee. Business casual attire.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14           

11:00 a.m. ­– 1 p.m.    Walking Tour of Downtown Evanston

                                     Meet at Fountain Square in downtown Evanston

Kris Hartzell, ETHS ’74, of the Evanston History Center, will lead a 1-1/2 hour walking tour of the ever-evolving downtown Evanston.  Some of it is unrecognizable.  If you haven’t been in Evanston for a long time, this is something you shouldn’t miss. Spouses, partners, and dates are welcome.  Casual attire.

6:00 p.m. - ?               Buffet Dinner at Glen View Club

6:00 p.m. - cocktails

7:00 p.m. - dinner

We have planned a relaxed-type evening where you can reconnect with  friends, old and new. Hopefully, the weather will be nice, so we can spread out on the lovely grounds outside of the clubhouse. There will be a Cash Bar and a buffet dinner. Spouses, partners, and dates are welcome.  Jacket and collared shirt are required for men.
